Job Duties The Program Compliance Monitor ensures compliance for the Corporation’s operational procedures, processes and policies related to Head Start Performance Standards, rules and applicable regulations. Conducts on-site compliance monitoring to analyze the effectiveness of compliance programming. Recommends necessary revisions or implementation of processes, reports, and/or plan of actions; ensuring compliance with internal and regulatory guidelines of programs. Assists in editing and formatting of documentation to prepare written reports.
1) Must demonstrate effective verbal and written communication and human relations skills. 2) Proficiency in operating a computer with Microsoft Office suite of applications, with emphasis in Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and e-mail usage. 3) Ability to interpret and accurately apply the regulations of federal and state programs. 4) Ability to work in a setting requiring self-motivation/cooperative decision-making, and to work effectively with diverse groups of people. 5) Ability to work well in high-pressure situations and meet strict deadlines. 6) Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. 7) Ability to plan, organize and work independently, as well as within a team environment. 8) Ability to pay attention to detail.
9) Strong skills in spelling, grammar, punctuation and document editing. 10) Ability to adapt successfully and quickly to change and deliver quality results in a timely manner. 11) Ability to travel approximately 70% of the work period in the assigned region.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION:
1. Graduated from an accredited two-year college or institute with an Associates Degree.
2. A minimum of two years in direct social services experience in
federal and/or state programs.
3. A minimum of one year in compliance monitoring work.
4. Work experience in preparing extensive and detailed technical
reports.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION:
1. Graduated from an accredited four-year college or university.
2. Bilingual in English and Spanish.
3. Work experience in MSHS (Migrant Seasonal Head Start) program.
