Helena, OH – The children of the Helena Center and their families participated in a Health Fair on Saturday, August 22. Families had the opportunity to receive blood pressure and diabetes checks. Also, there at the festival the families were treated to food, art and crafts, snow clothes and the opportunity to choose from clothing that was donated for the Fair.
Also in attendance was Sister Rosario from En Comino, who visited with the families, Lupe Lara from US Census Bureau, who spoke to about the importance of next years Census. The Fire Department visited with the children and gave them fire prevention tips and the importance of talking to your parents about smoke alarms. A special thank you went out to Benito Lucio from the Ohio Department of Jobs and Family Services who served as guest DJ for the Fair playing music for all the families to enjoy.
