Winnemucca, NV – TMC’s Winnemucca Center participated in a Safety Fair highlighting the upcoming season and its interactive activities. The Safety Fair was held at the Convention Center and hosted by the American Red Cross. There were over forty booths from different agencies and businesses. More than 400 families attended this event.
Winnemucca Center staff, which included Lorena Castaneda-Family Service Advocate and Val Teichert-Center Manager hosted TMC’s interactive booth. The puppet area appealed to both old and young alike, it was a great place for parent to enjoy and interact in. Another great area was the manipulative center where children enjoyed playing with the different animals including insects and dinosaurs.
Fliers were handed out including business cards and items that were used to recruit children for the upcoming season. “It was wonderful to see parents interacting and playing with their children at our booth. The children loved the activities! We were able to meet more of the community and let them know about TMC and our purpose”, stated Val Teichert – Center Manager.
