TMC Wintergarden Region Celebrates Employees Commitment        

Crystal City, TX – Mary Capello-TMC CEO, Romeo Sifuentes–Regional Administrator Wintergarden Region, and staff from throughout the Wintergarden Region came together to honor five individuals who have played a huge role in the history of TMC with a retirement celebration.  The five retirees include Engracia Loera from the Crystal City Center, Francisca Ayala from the Crystal City Center, Nicolas Leos from the Eagle Pass II Center, Jose Meza from the Del Rio Center and Blanca Reyes from the Del Rio Center.

Engracia Loera began her career with TMC as a teacher aide in 1974. Throughout the years she has been apart of different centers travelling to Kansas, Wisconsin, Indiana, Ohio and West Texas working as a Health aide, Family service worker and even as a bus driver. In 1981, Engracia became Center Manager of the Crystal City Center.

Francisca Ayala is a parent of children that have been served by the TMC program. She began her employment with TMC in 1982.  She has traveled to centers in Wisconsin and West Texas and hardly missed a day of work throughout her career.  Francisca leaves TMC having worked as a Cook Aide.

Nicolas Leos began his career with TMC as a bus driver in 1985.  Besides his work at the Eagle Pass Center, he has served TMC families in Indiana and the Plainview region for many years.  Mr. Leos recalled how he used to pick up children of the Kickapoo Tribe when they lived under the international bridge.

Jose Meza began his career at TMC in 1990.  During his tenure at TMC he has served as a member of the regions food advisory committee.  During the 90’s Mr. Meza served the Centers of the Panhandle region. He leaves TMC as the Cook of the Del Rio Center.

Blanca Reyes began her career with TMC in 1976 as a recruiter for the Del Rio Center.  During her tenure, Ms. Reyes has spent many summers in Ohio, Indiana, Illinois and the Texas Panhandle. Ms. Reyes went from being a recruiter, to an infant teacher, then a pre-school teacher, served as the family service advocate, head teacher and ended her career with TMC as a Center Manager.

“It was an honor to have these five individuals be a part of the Wintergarden Region, they will truly be missed”, stated Regional Administrator Romeo Sifuentes.

TMC CEO Mary Capello ended the celebration with a quote “The making of co-workers, who become real friends, is the best token we have of a person’s success in life”.  Thank you for having been a part of our lives and the children and families you have served throughout the years.
